Give a little, and keep this church open.

St. Edmund's relies on the generous gifts of time, talents and money from individuals to maintain its fabric and its ministry. Every donation, of any size, genuinely helps.

The quickest way

Give by card, Apple Pay or Google Pay through our Give A Little page. It takes about a minute.

Where it goes

What your giving pays for.

St. Edmund's receives no government funding. Almost everything we do is paid for by the people of this parish.

The building

Heating, lighting, insurance and the constant care an ancient church needs, from the tower down to the churchyard paths.

Our ministry

Worship week by week, and clergy who are there for baptisms, weddings, funerals and the hard days in between.

Work in the town

Groups for families and children, music, concerts, and a church that stays open and available to everyone in Shipston.

Other ways

Not everything has to be money.

Time and talents matter every bit as much. If any of these is your thing, do have a word with us.

A regular gift

A standing order, however small, is the most useful gift of all. It lets us plan, and it costs us nothing to collect.

Money

The plate on Sunday

Cash and the card reader are both there at the back of church, and there is no obligation for visitors.

Money

Your time

Welcoming, reading, coffee, flowers, churchyard tidying, bell ringing, or helping at events in the town.

Time

Your talents

Music, admin, accounts, gardening, carpentry, IT. Whatever you are good at, we probably need it.

Talents

A gift in your will

A legacy to St. Edmund's helps the generation after us look after this building and its ministry.

Gift Aid

Make your gift worth a quarter more, at no cost to you.

If you are a UK taxpayer, we can claim an extra 25p from HMRC for every £1 you give. Just tick the Gift Aid box when you donate, or ask us for a declaration form.

With Gift Aid

£20 becomes £25
£100 becomes £125

You need to pay at least as much UK income or capital gains tax as we reclaim on your giving in the same tax year.

Using the QR code

How to scan it with your phone.

Most Apple and Android phones do not need a special QR code reader. If yours does not seem to work, check your phone settings or look for a QR app you may already have.

  1. Open your phone camera.
  2. Hold the phone so the QR code fills the viewfinder. A notification will appear with a link to the Give A Little website.
  3. Don't take a picture. Tap the notification and it will take you straight to our giving page.

Thank you

Your gift keeps the doors open.

Whether you give once, give monthly, or give an afternoon of your time, it goes into a church that belongs to the whole town.
