HomeWorship
Worship at St Edmund's
Services for everyone.
Wherever you are on your journey of faith, there is a place for you here. Our main service is at 10.30am every Sunday, and coffee follows every single one.
This week
Sunday 10.30am
Parish Eucharist, then coffee
Wednesday 10am
A quieter midweek Eucharist
Every week
Our regular services.
Two services a week, both followed by coffee and conversation at the back of church.
Every Sunday
10.30am
Our main service of the week. Most Sundays this is a Eucharist (Holy Communion), with hymns, a short sermon and prayers. Children are very welcome and nobody minds a bit of noise.
Usually 30 to 45 minutes, then coffee.
Every Wednesday
10am
A smaller, quieter midweek Eucharist, said rather than sung. A good place to start if a full Sunday morning feels like a lot.
Around 30 minutes, then coffee.
Through the month
Something a little different.
Alongside the weekly pattern, these services run once a month. Everyone is welcome at all of them.
1st Sunday
10.30am
Lego Church
Part of the morning service, for primary aged children. We hear a story from the Bible and then build it together, bricks everywhere. Parents and carers stay and join in.
2nd Sunday
4pm
BCP Evensong
Traditional evening worship from the Book of Common Prayer, with familiar words and music as the light goes down.
Tea beforehand at 3.30pm. Do come early.
4th Sunday
10.30am
Cafe Sunday
Relaxed worship around tables instead of in pews, with coffee and cake in your hand from the start. Informal, chatty and a very easy first visit.
Your first visit
First time? Here's what to expect.
“You do not need to know the words, the tunes or when to stand up. Come and sit where you like, and let us do the rest.”
Our welcome to you
Prayer & resources
Worship at home, too.
Come and see
We would love to see you on Sunday.
You are welcome to come along with no notice at all. If you would rather ask a question first, the parish office is happy to help.
